Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has once again reminded fans why he is regarded as one of the most generous celebrity husbands. The singer surprised his wife, Chioma Adeleke, with a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, a luxury SUV valued at over $150,000 (about ₦240 million).
The 2025 edition of the iconic G-Wagon, which only recently entered the market, boasts cutting-edge design, advanced features, and even electric model options. For many car enthusiasts, it represents one of the most desirable upgrades in the luxury automobile market.
In a video shared on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, Davido proudly captured the moment he secured the ride. He explained how he traded in an earlier G-Wagon model and added extra funds just to ensure Chioma got the latest release.
“First of all, we had to take the one I got, then obviously add more money to get the new one,” Davido said, with a wide grin on his face. Beaming with pride, he added the line that made fans swoon: “Only the best for my lady.”
When he finally handed over the gleaming SUV to Chioma, her reaction was priceless. The chef and media personality was visibly overjoyed as Davido hyped her, cheering, “We do 2025!” in reference to the latest edition of the G-Wagon.
This latest show of love follows the couple’s lavish wedding celebrations, which have kept fans and the entertainment industry buzzing. Davido and Chioma’s journey to matrimony has been a spectacular affair, beginning with a court wedding in March 2023, followed by a colourful traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024, and culminating in a star-studded white wedding in Miami on August 10, 2025.
The Miami celebration reportedly cost a staggering $3.7 million (about ₦5.5 billion), making it one of the most expensive celebrity weddings of the decade. The guest list featured influential business moguls, political figures, and A-list entertainers from Nigeria and abroad.
